Bangladeshi man shot to death ‘by BSF’ in Thakurgaon

A 40-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by the members of Indian Border Security Force along Ratnai border in Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Nuruzzaman, son of Taslim Uddin of the upazila.

 

Commanding officer of BGB-50 Lieutenant Colonel Tanjir Ahmed said that the BSF members of Sonamati camp opened fire on some Bangladeshi people, numbering 10-12, leaving Nuruzzaman dead.

Later, they took the body to their camp while the others managed to flee the scene.

A flag meeting between BSF and BGB would be held in the afternoon protesting at the killing, said Tanjir.
